A: We have recently recieved permission to shoot outdoors on MIT’s campus. This is currently only available to members of our competitive team. Please speak to an officer for more information.

Q: What equipment does the club have for its members?

A: The club has target bales, paper targets and a limited collection of recurve bows and arrows for members to use. Many members eventually purchase their own equipment for personal use.

Q: I have my own archery equipment, what pieces do you recommend I bring to practice?

A: Bow+ bow case, arrows+arrow case, quiver, closed-toe shoes, water bottle. Regarding arrows, make sure they have target points installed and not broadheads. We also recommend a bow stand if you have one, though some people use the club cart or a chair instead during practice.

A: No, we only allow target points.

Q: Does your club require members to follow the USA Archery dress code rules?

A: As the club practices in the MIT Rockwell cage, club members follow the MIT Recreation policy on attire during practice. However, when competing, USA Archery clothing rules are followed.
